Michelle Héon works in sculpture, installation, art action. The poetical or dramatic scenography: created by the situational placement of boats, the projections of still or moving images, the impact of scale between elements, and lighting devices contribute to changing the universe of reality to that of fiction.

The shifting reflections of boats, the aquatic surfaces, the risings of the sea, its matter, planes, frames, and colours, the permanent drama of waters in furry… become a real place for the imagination, questioning human destiny, questioning survival, the share of utopia and of reality in a world of migration.

Michelle Héon has exhibited in Canada, the United States, Europe, Japan and China. Her works are represented in public collections: the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, Ministery of Foreign Affairs of Canada, the Toms / Pauli Foundation, Lausanne, Switzerland and Fondo de Arte DANAE - Museo National Centro de Arte Reina Sophia, Madrid, Spain. In 2008, she participated in the 3rd Guangzhou Triennial, China. In 2012, she was invited to create an ephemeral artwork on the National Drama Theatre Plaza and to exhibit at the National Art Museum of the Republic of Sakha, Yakutsk, Oriental Siberia.
